RealArcade has in excess of of 200 games and the following instructions works on every game, the first time doing this will take you about 5 minutes, after that you can do these steps under two minutes. If you have any questions post them and I will get back to you. This really is very easy to do, just follow the instuctions and I am using the game AstroPop Deluxe as my example.

Go to the following addy, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Download RealArcade FREE!" and then install it.





You need to unhide all of your files. Do this in explorer. On the toolbar click Tools select Folder Options click on View under
Advanced Settings you will see Files And Folders look for Hidden Files And Foldersselect Show Hidden Files And Folders, Click on Apply and then on OK

Click on RealArcade's desktop icon (make sure you first have an Internet Connection) and do the few steps required to be a registered user (you won't be able to do anything until this is done). After signing on you should see RealArcade's Featured Download Games, click on AstroPop Deluxe

Click on Download Free Demo and follow the steps to have it installed.When that is done click on Play Now another window opens up and click on Play Demo Now and play the game for a couple of seconds.

Shrink the game down by pressing ALT and TAB at the same time and open Local Disk C:, which you can find in My Computer. Go into the folder call My Games go into the folder called AstroPop Deluxe. You will see a file called WinAP (it's colors will be faded because it is normally hid).

Right click on the WinAP file and select Copy Shrink that window down and right click on your desktop and Paste the file you just copied.

Right click on that file and select Properties Under the General tap, at the bottom uncheck the box that says Hidden click on Apply and then on OK

Right click on that file again and select Rename and name it whatever you want and right click again and select cut. Go back to the game that you are playing and quit the entire game.

Go back into the AstroPop Deluxe folder (C:\My Games\AstroPop Deluxe) and right click on a blank spot and select Paste

Right click on that file again and select Send To and then select Desktop Create Shortcut and you are done.

Everytime you want to play the game click on your desktop icon and you have a completely working, full game with no time limits.

Every once in awhile RealArcade updates it's games. When it asks you "Do you want RealArcade to search your computer for installed games" say no.

Owing to cheaper memory it is becoming increasingly common that modern PC's have >4GB physical memory. However because of the limitations of 32-bit IBM PC architecture, to access full 4GB RAM or more, the CPU processor must support Physical Address Extension (PAE), as well as the North-bridge Chip must have the Memory Remapping feature. Even the hardware has enabled these features, the operating system may still constrain the full use of the large memory.

It is possible however to access this additional memory installed using something called a "RamDisk". Normally when your physical memory is exceeded Windows will use a "pagefile" (located on a hard drive... access times on hard drives is much slower than RAM) to act as additional memory. It is possible however to use your additional memory as a pagefile, using some special tools.

These two above applications contain some special code that isn't normaly available in other "RamDisk" software.

You can also use the tools to setup things like your TEMP folder, browser cache etc to be located in your memory for even faster access!

64-Bit Windows doesn't have such a 4GB physical memory limitation.
